Job Description:
As a GIS Analyst, you will support enterprise GIS initiatives by performing advanced spatial analysis, managing geospatial data, developing GIS applications, and supporting asset management operations. This role requires strong expertise in ESRI technologies, GIS web application development, and technical collaboration with stakeholders to deliver reliable and innovative geospatial solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform advanced GIS analysis, mapping, and spatial data management activities.
Develop, enhance, and maintain GIS applications using ESRI technologies.
Analyze, validate, and maintain enterprise GIS datasets and asset information.
Design and deliver web-based GIS solutions using ArcGIS and JavaScript mapping APIs.
Create multi-layered maps, dashboards, and analytical products to support business operations.
Support ArcGIS Enterprise environments, including servers, portals, and data stores.
Collaborate with technical teams and business users to gather requirements and deliver GIS solutions.
Serve as a technical liaison between stakeholders, system administrators, and end users.
Develop automation scripts and tools to improve GIS workflows and data quality.
Troubleshoot GIS applications and provide ongoing support and optimization.
Required Skills, Experiences, Education, and Competencies:
Bachelor's degree in GIS, Geography, Cartography, Computer Science, or a related field.
4 8 years of experience in GIS analysis, GIS application development, and geospatial data management.
Minimum 5 years of experience designing, developing, and delivering web applications.
Strong experience with ArcGIS API for JavaScript or similar web mapping technologies.
Advanced knowledge of the ESRI GIS suite, including ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcSDE, Portal, Web Adaptors, and Data Stores.
Strong proficiency in Python for GIS automation, scripting, and data processing.
Experience developing complex spatial analysis, mapping, and geospatial reporting solutions.
Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Experience with Oracle SQL, PostgreSQL, enterprise asset management systems, and linear referencing systems (LRS) is preferred.
Experience with ESRI Roads & Highways, Power BI, debugging, and enterprise GIS support is highly desirable.
The hourly range for roles of this nature are $40.00 to $80.00/hr. Rates are heavily dependent on skills, experience, location, and industry.
