About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Physical Therapist (PT) Outpatient for a 13-week contract opportunity in Craig, Alaska. The Physical Therapist will evaluate and treat patients with a variety of diagnoses and functional limitations while developing individualized treatment plans focused on improving mobility, independence, and overall function.
The therapist will primarily support adult outpatient rehabilitation and may provide services across additional patient-care settings as assigned.
Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans, functional goals, and therapeutic interventions.
Provide evidence-based physical therapy treatments and modify plans of care based on patient progress and clinical response.
Educate patients and families on therapeutic exercises, home programs, functional limitations, and strategies to improve independence.
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare professionals regarding patient progress, discharge planning, and durable medical equipment needs.
Maintain accurate clinical documentation and provide appropriate supervision and direction to Physical Therapist Assistants and other designated rehabilitation staff.
Requirements
Minimum 1 Year of Adult Outpatient Rehabilitation Physical Therapy Experience Required.
Current, Active Alaska Physical Therapist License Required at Time of Submission.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Required.
Graduate of an Accredited Physical Therapy Program Meeting the Stated Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral Education Requirements Required.
Valid Driver's License Required; Ability to Provide Outpatient Rehabilitation Services and Additional Physical Therapy Coverage as Assigned.
